Italian American Reconciliation

Italian American Reconciliation

Italian American Reconciliation is a play by John Patrick Shanley. It was first performed at the Eugene O'Neill Theater Center in Waterford, Connecticut in 1986. It had its New York premier on October 18, 1988 at the Manhattan Theatre Club starring John Turturro, Andrea Bianchi, Helen Hanft, John Pankow, and Laura San Giacomo.

The play, by the author of the critically acclaimed film Moonstruck, is part tall tale and part a slice of New York Americana, Italian style. The New York Times said, "Mr. Shanley's writing recalls Paddy Chayefsky's Marty gone loopily punchdrunk."
