Azadshahr (Persian: آزادشهر, also Romanized as Āzādshahr and Āzād Shahr; formerly, Shah Pasand (Persian: شاه پسند), also Romanized as Shāh Pasand) is a city in and capital of Azadshahr County, in Golestan Province, in northern Iran. At the 2006 census, its population was 38,260, in 9,260 families.
