Amos Sutton
Amos Sutton (1802 — Cuttack, Orissa, August 17th, 1854) was a General Baptist missionary to Orissa, India.
He translated the Bible into the Oriya language, and published the first Oriya dictionary and Introduction to Oriya Grammar (1843).
He also composed a hymn to the tune of "Auld Lang Syne": "Hail, sweetest, dearest tie."
