Daniel Johan Mackie also known as "DJ" because of his initials.(born 17 September 1984 in Karlstad, Sweden. Is a MMA fighter from Sweden. Grew up in Linköping, Sweden. Started out boxing at IFK Linköping and was trained by Örjan Holmström alongside Naim Terbunja. He had his first fight in the ring at the age of 15. He trained Muay Thai with his brother Max and his friend Farnam Mirzai until he left Sweden. He fled in 2002 to California, U.S.A. only to keep his family safe against his fight with the white power movement in Sweden. His mothers car was bombed in the family's driveway. He was "well known" for knocking out several high profile Neo-Nazi's in the late nineties up until late 2002. In 1999 Jimmy "Jimmy Skin" Olsson from the white power band, Svastika, tried to assault an Iranian on a bus and at the young age of sixteen "DJ" stepped in and was forced to knock him unconscious. A similar scenario happened to Mattias "Matti" Sundquist who also was a former member of Svastika and the owner of the white power record company and newspaper, Nordland. After fleeing to U.S.A. Daniel Johan Mackie went back to finish his last year of high school at East Nicolaus High school right outside of Sacramento, California. He tried out for the football team with no experience and ended up receiving the "All League" award for his position as Defensive End. After highschool he went to Sierra College in Rocklin, Ca. He spent two years in college and dropped out due to infectious mononucleosis. He fought and won a kickboxing fight for Dave Marinoble in 2004 at Dave Marinoble's gym in Roseville, Ca. He didn't train for a few years until after he got married to Sasha Mackie in 2007. He started training at James Irvin's gym in Roseville, Ca in 2008. In 2009 he became a member of Wand Fight Team when Wanderlei Silva held tryouts on November 14, 2009. He was on Wanderlei Silva's reality show "Fighter Life" at the end of 2009.
